What Home Means to Me

Home is a safe, happy feeling in my home. My home is a place where you can share your feelings with the people around you. When I thump out of bed I hear the click of my door close and the vibration of my dogs paws on my deck. What makes my home different is the sound of the click and the whistle of the nerf bullet zipping right past my ears when we have a nerf war, in my basement. I love my home because of the sound of a slap and then the happy yells of my brother when he scores a goal in my basement. My home is the best because of my loud obnoxious siblings. When I hear my sister scream that the Leafs scored. But the sweet buttery popcorn that me and my brother make can’t be forgotten. My home is full of warm hugs and big belly laughs. I can just taste the love in the air. Home is where we celebrate birthdays and have parties with my friends and family. Home is where me and my friends go zooming through the white fluffy snow on the hill in my backyard. The backyard is where we have snowball fights with my brother. I love playing with my gel blaster, and shooting my little brother. Home is where I hear the mad, happy and sad shouts of my brother and me when we play video games until I beat him and he gets angry. I love my room because it is like my own getaway island to escape the craziness in my family. Home is where I walk into the cold rink. Home is not just a place it is laughter and the love that goes there from my home.
