What Home Means to Kennedy

To me, my home is a special place where I can make memories and spend time with the people I love. Whenever I’m feeling down or not well, my home helps me to recover or makes me feel loved or joyful again. When it’s time to celebrate, rejoice or come together, my family and I all celebrate under the roof of my home. My house is full of many memories, all back from when I was a little girl. I remember walking into my new house and looking around and feeling safe. On Fridays I normally play board games with my family at home. In my bedroom, I spend most of my time crafting, reading or calling my friends. In summer and winter, my backyard is where my family spends lots of time. In the summer, me and my sisters are either jumping on the trampoline, walking Anna or taking a walk around the pond. In winter time me and my sisters, Charlotte and Stella are always playing outside in the snow with Anna (our dog). I always feel comfortable in my home. My family and I have been doing something that we call Best Parts every night since I can remember. We all share our best parts about our day. At Christmas, my class made a jar with different questions and now we do that for suppertime. It says the fondest memories are made when gathered around the table. To me, my home is important, special, fun, and a place to spend time with my family.
