Home Is Where I…

Home is where I can feel safe and important. My home is when I’m with my family because they take care of me. Home is also when I’m with my friends because they make me laugh and I can be myself around them. Home is where I wake up on a Saturday morning and my sister is saying, “Sister? It’s wake up time” as she turns on the light. Ok Cookie, I’ll get up. As I get up, I can feel my feet touch the soft carpet and yawn. When I get ready for ballet try outs my little sister says, “hurry you’re going to be late” Ok Cookie monster, I’ll hurry. When I’m done ballet try outs, I come home to the fresh smell of soup and Bannock. As my whole family sits at the dinner table my dad starts to pray, we thank him for the food. Amen all of us say. After we are done eating my mom says bedtime. My sister says I’m too tired to go to bed. We all laugh at what my sister said. As my sister gets ready for bed, ew, I smell something. Jacob you’re stinky, go shower. We all laugh. When the day ends I can thank Jesus for another safe day Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for the opportunities for families in need.
