Meaning of Home

Do you know what the meaning of home is to you? It might be your family or your pets. For me, the meaning of home is time spent in my room, my farm and my living room. My first reason is my room. This is where I get away from stress. I feel safe and cozy there because my dogs come in to snuggle me under my bed. I usually listen to music while I’m laying with all my blankets. This reminds me of my parents because my mom and I like to listen to music together and when I’m with my dad I’m usually wrapped in blankets while we’re watching movies. Second, my uncle's farm is always a place to relax. When I go to the farm, I get to spend time with the kittens that live there. There’s this swing that I go on every time I’m at the farm. At the running of the cows, my family gathers at the gate where the cows get to go into a field of grass and my mom says what she thinks the cows are trying to say. She thinks they're trying to say “move farmer,” the farmer is my uncle. He’s the one who opens the gate. My final reason is my living room. My living room is where my family and I eat dinner because we only eat at the dining room table at special events. In my living room during the holidays, my family and I open presents together. When we watch movies my uncle falls asleep, he snores really loudly when he sleeps so it's hard to hear the movie. So now you know why my room, my farm and my living room are the meaning of home to me. All this wasn’t about the places in my house. It was about where my family was and when they could be with me.
