They say home is where the heart is, Home isn’t just a house, Home isn’t just a place Home is where my heart is, Full of laughter, And memories, Where friendships are forged, And loved ones are near, Home is so much more than a building, Built with mortar and bricks, More than four walls and a roof, Home is a shelter, Somewhere you feel safe, Sometimes you taste a meal, Made with love and care, Sometimes you feel sombre, But you know, You are never alone, Maybe you have a furry friend, Who wreaks havoc, Leaving a muddy trail of paw prints behind, But they’re always down for a good cuddle, No matter what, What is home to me? Home is joy, and hope, Warm hugs and smiles, Home is family, That’s what home means to me, Thank you, Habitat For Humanity, for giving children across Canada the chance to help families find a place to call their own.
