The Meaning Of Home
Home is where love does not sleep,
And joy and happiness reaches its peak.
Home is the smell of my sisters delicious baked goods,
As everyone turns into really good moods.
Home isn’t just four walls and a roof,
It’s where you make joyful memories, like when you lost your first tooth.
Home isn’t just a brick box,
It could be a stadium of when you learned how to box.
We listen closely near the crackling, yellow and orange fire,
As everyone speaks with laughter and giggles, no one is a liar.
I hear my dad’s wise words,
Like how I found out all about birds.
As a dog it's all fun, and happiness all around,
It sure wouldn’t be home in a messy, old pound.
Me and my sibling run and play,
As we do everyday.
Home is where memories hang on a wall,
Like the time we played a really exciting game of football.
My mom teaches me how to not lie,
And even how to make delicious apple pie.
Home is where you can feel safe,
It's where your family gives you faith.
Home is where you can have your own private space,
It's where you can feel free, and dream of outer space.
Home is where I feel calm, and peaceful, it's where I can meditate,
So when my mom says “it's time for school” I say “let-it-wait.”
Home is where my heart feels warm,
It's where I’d go if there were a storm.
By choosing Habitat of Humanity you won't just get a home,
