What Home Means to Me

Home to me means a place to stay, be yourself and of course, not being homeless. Homelessness is a big problem, and something needs to be done quickly or the Canadian population is going to go down. There is a risk about homelessness online that says by 2030 there will be 1,100,000 people (about the population of Montana) at risk of being homeless, that is way too much. There is about 38,25 million people in Canada if we minus 38,250,000 and 1,100,000 it equals 37,150,000 . That is a significant difference. It makes me incredibly sad thinking about all the people that are going to be homeless if nobody does anything. It’s estimated right now that there are 235,000 people that are homeless in Canada. Some homeless people in Canada can be hungry, thirsty, tired, and dirty. Some homeless people may start acting differently and even start committing crimes like theft and can develop drug addictions. This is a cycle that continues to contribute to their homelessness. There are a lot of sad reasons for becoming homeless. Budr We need to act. We need to build new buildings and places where homeless people may stay. Canada can get that 1,100,000 part of the population back and make Canada larger . Habitat for Humanity helps the homeless. Many shelters provide warm beds to sleep in, clothing and food and drink to the homeless. The period purse was invented in 2017 to help the homeless by giving good hygiene products. They have done their part so let’s do our part to stop homelessness. Many good people in the world help the homeless and we are all called to act.
