Why My Home Is Importantđź–¤

What does home mean to me? My home is the place where I can feel safe and loved by my family. It makes me happy to think that me and my family have a roof over our head, but it also makes me sad to think that some people don’t have a house, that their home is on the streets. Sometimes you have to give up your home for a new one like I did when I moved but now I have a new home and we live in a safer community. I am glad that in the winter I can turn on the heat and in the summer put on the AC. Each time that I can lock doors, I can feel safe after I do. I don’t care where I live as long as I have a home and I'm with my family and friends. To me a house and home are different from each other. A house is somewhere you live and most people's homes are a house. Some people’s homes are apartment buildings and some people don’t have either a house nor an apartment building. I wish that all people have a house or somewhere to live. In my house we eat food like you would in Germany and that is a big part of my home and family. My house also smells like my Grandparents home in Germany. Our home looks quite new because we moved into it in the summer of 2022. Our house is usually quiet except when me and my sister are fighting. My home feels like it was made to be my family's home. My home will always be where my family is, no matter where or what they are.
