Homes Five Senses

A house is an empty place waiting for somebody to fill it with love, laughter, and joy! A home already has all that and much much more! Home is where I can smell the heavy aroma of herbs and spices that wafts into my bedroom as my dad cooks. Home is where I can taste the hot but creamy pasta cooling on my tongue at dinner. Home is where I can hear my moms soft voice when I wake up whispering, “good morning” and even softer voice at night whispering, “I love you”. Home is where I can see my cat sprinting back and forth and back and forth chasing her jingle ball across the floor. Home is where I can feel my brother's excitement as he comes home from winning a hockey game. When I think of home I don’t think of the things inside it, I think of what makes a home. A home is a family that cares, loves, and keeps you safe! All families are different but they all have one thing in common. And that's LOVE Thank you Habitat for Humanity for all your time and love!
