My Home
By Thomas MacKay
I love my home all the way,
I'm glad I have this place to stay.
I don't like when my mom gets mad,
When I do something very bad.
Then I want to run away,
But my home calls me to sit and stay.
My home tells me to think it through,
And then I know just what to do.
I go say sorry to my mom,
She smiles at me and I know I'm done.
If I had no home,
I will be as sad as a bee with no honey come.
I can see people on the street,
with no money and nothing to eat.
But I definitely know I can help today,
So nobody try to get in my way.
My home is so loving and warm,
And It protects me from the howling storms.
Home is happiness, safety and fun,
This is what my home has done.
I love my home all the way,
I'm the luckiest kid I will say.
