This is what I call home.

Home. A place of warmth and love. A place where my soft and together family lives. From the laughter of my sister, to the smell of my mumma’s cooking with the ingredients of pure love and kindness. Including my dad’s perfect advice and care, this is everything. This is what I call home. Home. A place where I hear the burning of the cozy fire, wrapped around a blanket and in my family’s arms. Every spark that comes out is like all the love that one will need for a lifetime. Where I could feel safe and strong. This is what I call home. Home. A place where we celebrate and enjoy ourselves together. A place where all my friends and family lie. A place where everyone is accepted. Where strong bonds and memories are made. This is what I call home. Home. A place where we live, work, and play together. A place where I see myself relieved that I have a roof over my head, food on the table, a comfortable bed to dream in, and most importantly, my entire family to live and love with. This is what I call home. Home. Something that I wish everyone would have: Thank you, Habitat for Humanity: Meaning of Home. You are giving kids across Canada an opportunity to help all kinds of diverse families and children who are in need, and you are helping them get a wonderful home like yours and mine. Everyone deserves a home.
