Home

When I think of home I think of how thankful I am to have a roof over my head. I also think of my family’s love that they give me and the love I give back. I like the privacy I have in my home and that I feel safe around my surroundings. I’m happy that I could be myself and that I could sing in the shower, dance when I feel happy and energetic, play with my dog if I’m not too loud, talk to my stuffed animals and my dog, and do more without being judged. I could also get hungry and have a full fridge with food and clean water for me and my family to eat. I’m also happy that I could have a dog and that I have responsibility for my dog too. Sometimes my home is like my five senses. Like when I wake up on a weekday, home sounds like my mom making me and my brothers breakfast, my step-dad getting ready for work, me and my brother getting dressed, saying bye to our step-dad as hes leaving, and then we go to school. Home feels like a nice shelter to keep us safe from the weather, a place where I can sleep, eat and drink, and a place where I can spend time with my family. I love my home and where I live, and I wish I could give it to someone else.
