Home, A Lovely Place

“Home to me is my family, we could move anywhere and it would be home.” That is what Amanda Southwell said to me on the drive home from school. Nathan Southwell said to me in the Calgary airport, “Home is where the heart is.” I am currently in Mexico on a vacation. Since I hold such a strong bond with my home it is hard being away from my home. Home is a safe haven where you can escape from the scary world we live in. Because let's be honest the world is scary, mean, and loud. Home is comforting when you are feeling overwhelmed or scared. When I'm home I don't worry or fear because I'm with people who love me. If you didn’t have a family or a home you would be pretty lonely and scared. Home is more than just some baseboards and a roof, that's a house. A home is love, family, friends and people who care about you. So why is a home so important? Well you need to have lots of love and comfort to live contently and happily, home gives you those feelings.
