Home

Most people start an essay about a home with what does home mean to you? Not me, Home is not just a place filled with furniture and people. Home is a place where you should feel safe. My home is filled with joy, hope, peace and love. Even though home is a building it still should be your safe place. Once I felt like home was just walls, a roof and floors but I realized that home meant so much more than just walls, a roof and floors. Home is a place where you should have memories and where you should feel welcome and where you belong. In my home I play board games with my family. These are important memories of mine. Do you have any memories? What do you call your home a home or a house? I call it home. It feels more like my home. I'm asking you now what does home mean to you? Home means to me a place where I feel safe. A place where I can be myself. Do you have any pets at your house? At my house I have a dog named Rusty and a cat named Smore. They make my house a home. When I get home from school Rusty comes straight to the bus wagging his tail so happy to see me, this makes me happy. Another question I have for you is: is your home safe? My home is the place I feel safest to be myself. It's a place where I can express myself through art. I love to draw and paint landscapes and the sky. It brings happiness and joy into my life. What is your favorite thing about your home? My favorite thing about my home is that you will never be bored. When I do get bored I will go play volleyball with my mom. There are so many things to do Period. Home may be different to you then to me but that is what home means to me.
