Meaning of Home

Home is where family belongs and feels shielded from any harm. Where you can express your emotions freely without harsh judgment. You can enjoy amusing activities with your friends and family with joy. Feeling comfortable and protected to follow your passion. Dreaming of cheerful and peaceful things as you lay on your bed. Neighbors waving as you pass by. Family supporting you. Home is where you have wonderful experiences around your community. Feeling safe strolling down the park with your buddies. Playing soccer and basketball during recess with your friends on a sunny day. Or building snow forts on those on those cold, snowy nights. Watching local sport teams celebrate as they score a goal. Petting the dogs that are going for a walk. Accomplishing cooperative activities. Home is the view from the CN Tower on the glass floor or the spectacular waterfalls from Niagara Falls. Kayaking and fishing with companions at Rice Lake. Enjoying my grandparents' incredible lasagna at the dinner table. Drinking hot chocolate after tobogganing. Practicing snowboarding skills with friends. Watching the Blue Jays hit a grand slam as the crowd went wild. Visiting historic museums. Home is the sweet taste of Maple Syrup on your pancakes. Or the flavour of the warm gravy on top of your cheese curds and fries of your poutine. Going to enormous snow hills that are created from the snow plows. Sitting by the fire on camping trips and roasting marshmallows. Spending time with my family playing board games, watching comedy movies and occasionally traveling. However, a nice home isn’t available for everyone. That’s why communities are trying to help those struggling, to find a place to call home. Everybody deserves a home.
