What is Home?

Home. Home is a place where people can feel happy and safe, where they can laugh. Maybe your home isn’t your house. Maybe your home is your friend's house. Or your tree house in your backyard. Maybe your home is a nice cafe down the street that you go to every morning and watch a hockey game. Or maybe it's just a nice park up the road where you feed the little birds that stop by. But for me my home is family. Home. Even if I’m not at home, when I’m with my family they make it feel like home. If we are stuck in the cold, they make me feel warm. I feel at home when my family is near. Home. Sometimes home isn’t always where you want it to be. Maybe you want a big mansion . Or a cute cozy cottage. Maybe a nice modern house by the river. Maybe you already have your dream house, or you are working on making your dream come true. But not everyone has that. Some people call an alleyway their home,. Or don’t have a roof over their head. Some people don’t feel safe in a home with their family. Which shouldn’t be the case. This is what home means to me. Home should be a safe place where people can feel warm and laugh. Even if there isn't a family, there should be safety.
