Home.

Home. Home can be a sculpture. Brick, concrete, vines and flowers hugging the building's walls. Big, open windows, bright, natural light filling the room's space. A comfy couch that sinks as you apply your pressure. Soft, smooth, cushiony silk. A wood bed, secure and steady. A blanket, snuggled right up to my chin. And a pillow, like a marshmallow. Fluffy feathers, or cotton. This is home. But home does not need to be an object, or some fancy architecture. Home can be the people you love. My mom, dad, sister and grandparents. A friend, cousin, or a great great aunt. Home. Something that can hug you, and make you feel safe. Whether it’s physical, or mental. Home is truly something that you love. Like your favorite food. Maybe it’s fries. Crunchy on the outside, soft and smooth on the inside. Habitat For Humanity lets you feel this way, in a nice, safe, home. All of these things are what home means to me.
