If Home Were A Food If home were food it would taste like a welcoming dish of shortbread cookies with soup and rice. When I get to sleep in my warm bed, it would taste like popcorn and cotton candy. When I get to gaze at the snowy night sky with a blanket, it would taste like sushi with crab and coconut chicken. When I spend time with my family, it would taste like pupusas with a side of salsa roja. Playing with my cousins and siblings would taste like samosas with rice. If doing arts and crafts with my family were food, it would taste like pizza with cheese sticks. If sitting near the crackling fireplace while the house warms up were food, it would taste like a warm cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows. Being able to stay in a welcoming home with diverse cultures, this would taste like tortilla, beans and cheese. If being able to have a shelter to hide from the rain were food, it would be spaghetti with meatballs and sauce. I am grateful for my warm, welcoming home.
