House or a Home

When I hear house I think of a box with a triangle on top but when I think of home I think of so much more than a building. To me home means belonging, love and my possessions. Belonging. When I hear it, I immediately get a feeling of safety, wellbeing and feel cared for. Wellbeing is one of the best words you can hear. When I hear it I feel secure and safe. To me home means life, and if we didn’t have a home the world would feel like a post apocalyptic wasteland. Love. When I get home from school I get a warm welcome from my family and it fills me with love. I also feel this when friends and other family come over, which makes me feel like I have more then one family. Home to me isn’t always just my house it’s where I feel loved. Whenever I enter a friends house I feel at home especially if its my best friends house. when Im in my home my home becomes my heart. Possessions. To me possessions don’t always mean physical items. I’ll start with the best. Experiences. Personally I have too many to count. Sometimes they’re good sometimes they're bad, but they all remind me of home. To me home isn’t just a building it is the experiences I share with the people I love. For example when I am on the ski hill I immediately think of home. I also feel at home creating art or playing games with my brother. This is what home means to me.
