The Feelings of Home

Home can mean many different things. At home there are many things you can touch, smell, taste, hear, and see. Home can look like many things. It looks like my soft, fluffy, and cute dog who plays with me. It looks like my big comfortable couch with scratches in it from my cats. Home looks like my huge grassy yard for my dog to play in. It looks like where my family meets up for the holidays. Home can smell like many different things. Home smells like cinnamon scented candles. Home smells like my stinky dog coming in after playing outside. Home smells like fresh popcorn with extra butter on it. Home smells like freshly baked dinner my mom makes every night. Home smells like my sister’s favorite bath bombs (they do not smell good.) The in what home smells like to me. Home tastes like my mom’s spicy chicken wings smothered in BBQ sauce. Home tastes like my dad’s crispy chicken nuggets cooked to perfection in the air fryer. Lastly home tastes like my sister's delicious egg sandwiches covered in salt, pepper, and butter. There are many things home can sound like. Home sounds like my dad blasting the volume in his super intense video games. Home sounds like my mom watching her Facebook at full volume while sitting in the most comfortable spot on the couch. Home can sound like many things and these are some of them. I think everyone deserves a place to call home. That's why I'm so grateful for habitat for humanity. When people donate to Habitat for Humanity, that helps families in need would this help get a place to call home. I hope with the help of Habitat for Humanity everyone will get a place to call home.
