Home Is Where The Heart Is

Home is where the heart is, that is a common saying but what does it really mean? Where IS home? This is how I feel about it. When I think of home, at first I think of my house, but then I think of all those homeless people, and what I think of changes. My whole head fills with pictures of my family and how they all love me and I realize home isn’t your house, it’s with the people you love. If I was homeless I think I would be ok, if I had my family that is. They are my heart and soul, I couldn't live without them…literally!!!! But that ‘s just what I think, maybe some homeless people think differently, maybe they have all the love they need but they need a house to be truly happy, a house and family and love is all I need. Home is where the heart is, to me home is chilling on the couch with my siblings and dogs. Home is reluctantly walking through the cold, wanting to make you want to shiver air on the way to school. Home is drinking hot cocoa on the way back even if you don’t drink it all. Home is curling up in soft PJs on a warm bed. Home is getting ever so tiny bit annoyed when your dog won’t stop barking at you. That is what “home is where the heart is” means to me. Lilly
