This is My Home

So, have you ever thought of a house being the same thing as a home? If you have, then you are wrong because a house is a place that’s just four walls and a roof. A house is also where you might not have many memories but a home on the other hand is where you feel loved, cared for, and joyful. This place that you call home is where you make memories as I like to say a home is a box FILLED with memories. I love it when I come home after a long day and the first thing I smell is my mom's wonderful cooking! I am also very grateful to have a family because some people don’t have family nor a home. My dad works and makes money my mom stays home and takes care of me and my brother. Traditions are very important memories. Let me tell you two of my traditions. The first tradition is called Diwali, it is a festival of lights. What my family dose is when it is Diwali, my mom buys fireworks and sparklers. Then we go outside if it not too cold. We also eat peanuts and traditional foods inside. Another popular tradition is birthdays!! When it is someone's birthday in my family you get to do almost anything! Like you get to pick what we all eat and what you want to do on that special day. So, the reason I am writing this to Habitat for Humanity is because I want to help the people in need, the people who need a home. Because everyone deserves a home, I think you would not want to be homeless, right?
