The meaning of home
We all have a home. No, not house. Not everybody has a house. I’m lucky to have one.
People think that houses are home. They are absolutely incorrect.
Home is your happy place. Your safe place. Home is where your family is. Home is where your roots are. Home is in your heart.
You bring home with you everywhere you go. Home is in your heart. Now you have to remember that. That home is always there.
But don’t always think you are home. You can not be at peace in a place where you are not safe.
Whenever you are at peace with yourself and those around you, you are home.
When you are happy you are home. When you feel like you're high in the skies, you are HOME.
When you feel like nothing can stop you or hurt you, you are HOME.
For some people it is hard to find a home. It is hard for people to find a happy place when they don’t have a house or family.
But they never stop believing in themselves, and that pays off. Thanks to Habitats for Humanity they don’t have to keep on believing. Many people have been given homes thanks to Habitats for Humanity.
I’m proud to be a Canadian. I’m proud to live in a safe and peaceful country. All Canadians thank Habitats for Humanity.
