Home

I used to think home was about the house you live in but now I've realized home is more complex than that. Two years ago, I moved and refused to call my home my home. I called it a house. Home is where I feel safe. Home is when I walk in the front door and my dad or my mom greets me and asks how my day was. And my sisters joking around and fighting. I think I have to mention my dogs, Penny and Daisy. Penny is wild and crazy. Daisy loves to eat with us. They cheer me up on bad days. And that feeling when I come home and go to my room to watch Netflix. It's just good. There's a sense that I'm safe and I am where I belong. That feeling of being comfortable and cozy. That's home.
