Home

There once was an apartment on Oil Heritage Road and in that apartment, there was a girl named Bella. Bella had a pretty small house for her and her dad. It only had one bedroom, a living room, a bathroom, and a kitchen and it just didn’t feel like home. Especially since her dad’s boss owned their house. Instead of her father paying for rent, Bella’s father works for his boss for long hours every day and some nights. But it wasn't always this way. Bella’s mom went to the hospital to have a baby, but the baby didn’t survive, and her mom got sick. Bella’s dad had to pay for her mom’s stay in the hospital. Everything changed one day when she saw an ad on tv about Habitat for Humanity. But she didn’t know what it was so she looked it up on her tablet and found out what Habitat for Humanity does. She found out that it could help her family a lot and give them a home that her mom can come home to when she gets better. So she asked her dad if she could enter for a home and he said yes. So she entered to get a house and now all they have to do is wait… A few weeks later, Bella’s dad got a phone call and found out they had been accepted. In the phone call, they told him they need to work 50 hours helping to build their home. He said “No problem!” Within six short months, they were in their new home, all three of them together and it finally felt like home to all of them.
