What home means to me

Home is very important to me because it is where my family is. My home is a place where I feel safe and loved. Home is built on memories because everything in my house has meaning attached to it. A home is what you make of it, special times and all the little things, like eating dinner with my family, playing with my cat, watching hockey and hanging out with my friends in the backyard. My home has helped shape all those memories. Whenever I see family photos it reminds me of the past and how grateful I am for all those things that make my house a home. My house is more than just a building to me. It doesn't matter how fancy or big it is, as long as you share that space with people who care about you. I know that I am very lucky to have a home and it is important to remember that some people do not have one. I think everyone should be able to have a safe and affordable place to live where they can feel comfortable and at home.
