What My Home Means To Me
Home, home is not a place, it's a feeling of love, security, and safety. It’s The comforting warmth of a big hug after a tough day, the sound of Basketballs dribbling on the court. Home, the smell of fresh baked croissants. Home, the waves crashing against the rocks on the basin.
Home, the place where all your worries melt away, The place where I can be myself. Home, the sound of happy laughter from your friends and family. Home, warm cuddles with my dog, Warm hot chocolate with creamy whipped cream and marshmallows after playing in the snow.
Home, the sound of the radio whilst I play card games with my Dad. Home, the sound of the creaky swings at the park where I grew up playing with my sister. Home, the sound of cars through my window, The sound of my teacher's voice as she teaches me.
That is what my home feels like. It breaks my heart to know that there are people out there that don’t have a home so I’m so grateful that Habitat For Humanity is doing this so that others can have a safe place to call home just like I do.
