What is home

Home is a place where I feel comfortable sharing my feelings with my family.Home is where we can cuddle up together and talk about ourselves and help each other with any problems. When I think of home I also think about my neighborhood - I have kind neighbors who ask how I am and give me treats to share with my family- My neighbors treat me like family.Giving me freshly baked treats to share with my family.Just yesterday my sister and I ran over to our neighbors to pick up a Rhubarb dessert they made for us. Home includes not just my house but my home town of Kitchener. Special things happen here like tasting the maple syrup at my cousin's house and all having pancakes and waffles sharing maple syrup as a family. I can picture us outside on the porch enjoying the food with big smiles on our faces. At home I am lucky to have my own room. My bed is where I spend 8 to 10 hours a night staying warm, comfortable and safe under my blankets. I love feeling ready to sleep knowing I am safe and nothing will happen to me through the night. At home I listen to the birds who give me a wakeup call in the morning telling me to get ready for school, you don't want to be late. I know every time I wake up the birds are the first thing to greet me. Home is not the easiest thing to describe but you know when you are there.
