Why I love my home

Home. It's a place where I can feel safe when there is a rainstorm. A place where I can cuddle up in my blankets with mom and dad, my brother, cat and dog. We are snorting and giggling because we are watching a funny movie. The sound of eating our favorite chips and candy. Us hearing the sounds of the wind blowing the thunder rumbling the ground. The clouds turning black. But I am not scared because I have my home and my family. My family helps me through the tough times and my home keeps me safe through the scary wind. Your house should keep a roof over your head but a home should keep you warm. A home should have memories through the walls but a house would have memories in a book. And when it is a hot summer day all my neighbors come outside to have yummy strawberry popsicles and some blueberry ice cream but it all melts because the hot sun is blazing on it. And when I can go in my backyard and feel the loving, tall grass touching my feet. And when I can go back home from a family trip and be happy to be home because I can smell the smell of my home and lay in my bed and have my cozy sheets touch me. And that is why I love my home!
