The Meaning of Home

This essay is about the meaning of home. The meaning of home can be many different things. It could be comfort, love, memories, family, happiness or something else. This is what it is for me… Home is a feeling. That feeling for me is comfort. One example of comfort is thunderstorms. When I was little I was terrified of thunderstorms because the lights would turn off IMMEDIATELY so it was DARK. So I would have to run upstairs, from the basement. I would run to hug my parents because I was so scared. I know that they love me alot. I love them too. I l ♥️ve the smell of baked goods coming out of the oven. I l ♥️ve the smell of dinner soon coming to the table. Smells comfort me in my house and my family too! I l ♥️ve to make a treat and smell all the ingredients. Some ingredients don’t really smell. I love to smell all the spices in our cupboard, like cinnamon, paprika or seasoning salt! It could be cinnamon buns, vanilla cupcakes, chocolate muffins or something else! I l ♥️ve the smells in my house! Being able to sleep in my own house, in my own room and my own bed comforts me. That’s good, I can get a full night’s sleep for the next day! I actually have a HUGE wall of stuffed animals. I will get snuggled in my blankets and I will try to sleep. I might have a good dream or a nightmare. But then I can just wake up, go to my parents, get a hug, fall back asleep and not have a nightmare again! Then I can wake up, rested for the day! I hope now you know what the meaning of home is for me (comfort).
