What Home Means To Me
Home isn't just a house or a building, home can mean many other things then a house or a building. Home means lots of things to me and to others! This is what home means to me.
Family always makes me happy when I'm sad, they can make me the happiest I've ever been. When I walk into my house every day after school, I can smell something. Sometimes it can even be something special! That smell can be my mom's perfume that she uses everyday (mostly on a weekday). If there was another scent that I can smell every day after school, it’s the food that my parents make for dinner. My family goes through the happiest or even the hardest moments with me. What is family to you? Because family is my home.
Friends keep me safe. Friends are like family and sometimes friends can be my family! Whenever my friends make a joke, I laugh within a second. Friends make me laugh easily. Friends are a helping hand, and they can help with almost anything. If you want to trust a friend, you must find the right person to trust. What are friends to you? Because friends are my everything.
A neighbourhood is a place where you can grow up. My neighbourhood will always be my childhood. A neighbourhood can sometimes be the only place where I feel safe or happy. You can make new friends in your neighbourhood! When you move into a new neighbourhood it won't really feel like home yet, but once you’ve lived in your neighbourhood for a longer time, it begins to feel like home. What is your neighbourhood like to you? Because my neighbourhood is my friendly village.
This is what home means to me, feeling loved, safe, happy, and calm. I could keep on going and going! Home is very important for me. I'm very blessed to have a home, a family, a neighbourhood, friends, food, and roof over my head. All of these things are my home, so... What does home mean to you?
