The Meaning of Home

Home. Home to me is not just a stack of bricks. To me it is a place to pour my feelings into its foundation; it keeps me strong. It's a place of safety in times of trouble. Home is not just the place; it's the things inside it. My family, my pets and the memories. The color that lights our home inside and out. The colors of blue, pink, red and purple. Those are the colors of hope, kindness, strength, and happiness. Home is not just a place or collection of things. It’s also about people. Your family, your friends and your neighbors. If you don’t have a home, you could use a tent, a trailer, or a fort; whatever is home to you counts. Some might own a mansion. Others might own a cottage. Or some might be in the middle. To you, you might think your home is your country or that forest you drive past on your way to school. But beyond that our real home is earth. And the earth won’t function without all of us working together and being kind to each other. In other words, the meaning of home can be anything you want. To me that's the meaning of home.
