Home sweet home

Home, it's a word that when people hear it, it should sound warm and safe, but unfortunately it sounds way different to some people. And that's why I'm so thankful that for me it does sound warm and safe and there are so many reasons but here are just a few: family, friends and safety. When people think of home, they usually think of a house, building or a room. But for me, it's not just some walls and a floor that matters the most, it's family. For me, family comes with love, happiness, support and hope. Without that, my family and I would be nothing more than a group of people with some shared DNA. So that's why family means more than anything to me. Next to my family, is my second family of friends. The pink posse is Avalon, Ellie, Lauryn, and Reese., My friends always seem to make me smile or laugh, And not just that, they also support me through difficult times and that's why I love them so much. And last but not least, is the safety I feel when I just get home and cuddle up with my cats and my family. Knowing that I'm safe and sound, and also knowing that I don't have to worry about somebody hurting my family because I'm safe, and I'm also extremely thankful for that.\ Without those three things, I don't think it is truly a good home. I don't think it is anything more than a roof, floor and some walls, nothing more than just a building. And I'm extremely fortunate that I have a safe place with my friends and family. I'm thankful that I have a home.
