What home means to me

Home, a place where you can express yourself, a place where you are comfortable and safe. Home is a place where you can be yourself without being criticized or pushed around by the people around you. Home is a place where you can laugh with your family without being embarrassed or uncomfortable. Home is the feeling of your family gathered around a fire toasting marshmallows and telling stories of what they did that day. Home, the place you can feel happy and loved without having to hide your feelings. A place to live with our families and pets and enjoy with friends. A place to build memories as well as a way to build your future. Home, my neighborhood, a place where you can hear kids laughing. A place where you can go out and play with your friends without getting worried about getting lost, a place where you know everyone and you can simply walk next door to hangout with your friends. Home, the place. A home doesn't have to be a house nor a building. A home is where you feel the most comfortable, where you feel loved, and where you can truly just be yourself. A home is an establishment that is comfortable and where you feel content and safe about where you are living. A home needs to be a livable place where you don't have to be worried about getting kicked out or having to suddenly move, it's a place where you can settle down and not be stressed. Home, the amazing place we are all proud to present and lucky to have.
