Home

A home, in my opinion, is much, much more than some walls made of cement, a home is more of a feeling. The feelings that you can associate with home could be things such as safety, warmth, or love. Home is a place to feel wanted, when times can feel too difficult for you. A home is where you can always go, and the people in it, you can always trust. A home does not only have to be your house, it just has to be somewhere you feel safe or comfortable. For example, I not only feel safe at my house, I also feel safe and comfortable at a library. I feel safe at the library because I know that if I ever need some peace and quiet, then I can always go there, unless it is past 6:00 P.M or the weekend. However, that is only my example of home, I am sure that there are plenty of other people with other examples. The sad thing is that some people cannot enjoy the comforts of home. That is why I am writing in this contest, so that others may experience the joy of having homes as well. I wish to help the homeless as much as possible. That is why if I take second or even first place in this contest, I will donate half of my earnings to Habitat for Humanity.
