What Home Means To Me

What Home Means To Me Home means everything to me. It's not just the brick and mortar, it's the people inside that makes home our home. When I'm in my home, I feel safe and loved and that my voice is heard and respected. Firstly, home means love. When I walk in the door, I feel loved by my family and I know that I’m cared for. No matter where we go or how bad our situation gets, as long as I'm with my family it’s home. My family makes me feel included and heard. I love them with all my heart. Secondly, my home and all the people in it make me feel safe and protected like nothing bad could ever happen. When I’m at home I can relax and my worries of school and friends are all gone. Home is where I feel like I am me. Lastly, I have so many homes. My home is where I have family. It is my grandparents house, my cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends. I have my school family and my little home there, and my taekwando family and my home there, too. A home is where you have family and family isn’t always blood. In conclusion, home means so much to me and home isn't just where I live. Home is where I have family and it's not always blood related family, it's people you love. It’s not just the brick and mortar it never has been, it's the people in it.
