The Meaning of Home

What a home means to me: A home is something for everyone to have. A nice warm bed, a warm home, a safe space, a cozy space for you. A home is a place where you can have heat, water and food. When there is a thunderstorm you do not get wet; a home is there to keep you safe. Home is a place where you can be safe and warm. Everybody needs to have a home. A home is where you can play with your friends and family. It’s a place to help make dinner, play board games, read on the couch and sometimes my cat even lies on my face when I’m reading or sleeping. Home is for everybody. You need a home to live. Even though you might not have everything you wish to have, be grateful for what you have. You also need money to live to get food and pay water bills, and you get money from jobs. You need money to get food. You need warmth to live. And that is why you need a home. All people need a home. Home is for both black and white people. Everybody deserves a home.
