Home, for both you and me. Home should be so very free, and heart-warming, and heartfelt. Also, welcoming, not like you’re in a shell. It should be safe and free so that it can fit more than you and me. This is part of what home should be.

Observing is a thing you can do, and others can see, but you don’t always have to do it like a mouse. You can stomp or storm, but I wouldn’t recommend it. You can stomp or scream but try not to be to mean. Don’t worry about acting like a mouse because this is your house.

Meals are better homemade so stop drinking that store bought lemonade. Something sweet, something good, something spicy or something that might taste like wood. Some food might be tasty, and some might not. You just have to appreciate what you’ve got! Don’t cry or beg because something good might come your way. Don’t scream, don’t shout, even though a good home won’t kick you out. I try not to cry or beg because I live in two safe homes in Winnipeg. I won’t scream or shout and I’ll try not to pout. I’ll never doubt that this is more than a house. In a house there might be just as much as a blouse, but a home is more like a glove you lost at your Aunties house. Never here, never there, never anywhere. You can cry or pout till you realize because that this is more than just a house. A goodbye, a hello, and a place to grow. It’s a four-wall home with a door and not a dinosaur named dounut whole. You may not realize how much your parents do. They care for you even if you got just a small boo boo.

Emotional is feeling you can have. It’s crying in your room like in movies. Singing into a broom or crying to that broom while dancing around the room. You’re able to do so because this is your home. Remember that you can be you, rather than your perfect cousin June. I feel home is still a home, even if it isn’t clean.
P.S. Yes, I’m talking about my room, it isn’t clean but it’s home to me.
