The Meaning of Home

A house is different from a home. A house is a structure, a building, a thing, a house can be rebuilt, a home cannot. You may have a house, but it might not be your home. A home can be anything, it can be as big as a mansion, or as small as a tent. A home has your things, your feelings, your family and most prized possessions, a home is a place where you should have peace. A home, it is as simple as that. My home to me is where I can go for comfort, a place I can go for some quiet and peace, a place with my family, a place to gather and laugh, a place for sorrow and a place for love. Home to me is my fluffy black dog cuddling me, my favorite creamy cheesy pasta, my parents that comfort me and love me, my brother who makes me laugh, my friends who are always there for me, my bed that is comfortable and cozy, my house is my home where my family lives and I know I am loved. A home, it is as simple as that.
