The Meaning of Home

It’s like taking a warm sip of hot cocoa on a frosty winter day. It’s the best feeling to go back home after a long day to smell your mom’s cooking. It’s the best feeling to cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie with your family. The Meaning of Home to me is family, childhood, memories, safeness, and emotions. When I’m at home I can feel all those emotions. I can feel joyful, upset, sad, angry, mad. Sometimes all those emotions just burst, and I feel those all at the same time. Sometimes it’s a good thing but others not all too well. I love to bake chocolate chip cookies with my mom when I’m at home. Thinking of home makes me feel safe. Because thinking of home to me means almost like an actual hug from a big cuddly grizzly bear. Being home is like being with someone that can comfort you. Being home is like being with someone that will protect you from your worries. Being home is like being at a comfort spot. That could be in a library, a lake, a gym, a school or even a cousin’s house. But my comfort zone is my home. Because my home is my home. My home is also my joy. I enjoy being home because it makes me feel happy. I like feeling happy. Because feeling happy unlocks so many other feelings. And it makes me feel good about myself. Being home makes me feel good about myself. Being home makes things better. Without home, I would not have that good happy feeling that makes me, me. Picture yourself at home, cuddled by one or multiple family members, or your pet while watching a movie or your favorite show. You would only be able to do that at the place you can call home.
