Home Is Me
Home Is Me.
Home is not just a place; it is a feeling. When you walk into someone else’s home you do not feel the same as when you walk into yours. You do not hear the same laughter or feel the same joy, you feel normal. But when you walk into yours you should feel joyful, safe, loved, comfortable, and free.
Did you know that there is a difference between a house and a home? Your house can be made up of concrete or wood or straw. It could have a windmill on the side or a pond or even a garden, but that doesn’t matter because that’s your house, but on the inside, it is your home.
Home is where you go to make memories like the kind I have. Like, when I moved into my new home, the first thing we did was build a lamp because my dad was still coming with the furniture and needed to see what he was doing. Another memory I have is when my dad burnt the cookies and then he pretended to like them so I would eat them. I believe that everyone should have a safe home, community, and city to live in, so they feel, joyful, loved, and comfortable.
That is why Habitat for Humanity is here to help and I am happy to do my part to help support them.
