What Home Means to Me

What does home mean to you? It is different for everyone. What I think may not be what you think, but it is important we all understand what home is. When I think of home, I think of my warm and comfortable bed. It keeps me cozy at night and lets me have a good sleep. At my home, I am accepted as I am, and I am allowed to be me (unless I get too loud). When I think of home, I think of the delicious food my family makes. Cow tail is my favourite-mmmmm! Mostly though, food keeps me healthy and alive. When I think of home, I think of my younger brother making a racket and annoying me. True, my brother can be a pain, but without him, my home will not be the same. Home’s meaning is different to different people, but it is important we all have a home. We all deserve a place to feel happy, safe, and comfortable, which is why I want to thank Habitat for Humanity for giving more people a place they can call home.
