What Makes a Home

Feelings. Returning home and the rush of happiness and love coupled with it. I can feel safe at home. Even when I am scared, I know that my loving parents will protect me, and I will be fine. It is reassuring to know that I am safe and warm, and under a roof. When I am at home I feel safe, and comfortable to talk about myself, without worry. Possessions. At my home I have everything that I could want, to make my home an awesome place. So many memories stored in photos, and attached to other objects. In every room, there are things that bring me back to the past, and make me think about the future. I am lucky to have all of these things. Family. My family is what brings me life in the morning, and comforts at night. They will take care of me, no matter what, and always love me. When my parents are home, the house is filled with joy. I don’t have to be afraid, or worried, when my family is there. If I am, then they will comfort me, and help me get over my fears. Providing a house to someone gives not only a place to live, but a place for a home to live. That is the ultimate act of kindness.
