Homelessness As of January 31, 2023, there are 150 million people who are homeless, and there are only 7.85 billion people in the world who are fortunate enough to not be. The main causes of homelessness are addiction to drugs, unemployment, mental illness, and many other problems as well. There are millions of people living on the streets or in homeless shelters. If you are reading this, then you are very fortunate to have a computer and a place to keep both it and yourself. Homelessness is a very big deal, and something has to be done about it.
