The Meaning Of Home

Home means family, locks and roofs to me.I feel safe when I have these things. I will tell you what home means to me. When there was a two hour long thunderstorm and power outage. My Dad sent me and our guests to bed. When we woke up the lights were on in my room so we knew the power was back on. It was New Year”s Eve.We set the ball drop on the TV at 7:00 pm and I was three at the time so I thought it was 12:00pm.I was not very happy because my parents and their friends got to stay up till midnight playing adult games. Even though I was very scared my family was there for me when I needed them. Once my Mom left me home alone. I locked the door and ran downstairs. When my Dad got home from work I was still scared that I was going to get kidnapped because shortly before that there was a robber in town so I begged to go to the chiropractor office. But they took the toys out. So I did the only thing left to do … ask questions but my Dad was a little annoyed. That is why I think locks are important. A roof is important especially in storms. Without a roof you could get struck by lightning or so many other things could go wrong without a roof. The thing about roofs is that some of them have different safety levels. If you did not have a roof a tree could fall on you in the middle of the night. That is why roofs are important. That is what I think about when I think of home. Home is where you're happy.
