What Home Means To Me

Home is the most important place I could ever think of. Everyone who has a home, should realize how lucky they are. Home is where everyone loves me and respects me and we are free to have a lovely time together. It can be busy but my big family is great to talk with and I feel loved. Home is a place where I can be myself and have fun, where everyone is patient with me even when I make mistakes, and where my family has fun. Just like when I am playing hockey with my sister and my dad, our skates glide on the ice as we stick handle and practice our shooting. Our games are so enjoyable and make me feel good. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, but my family is always sensitive about other people’s feelings. Home is my favourite food prepared just for me. Such as my mom's granola made just for me and my little sister. The delicious mix of nuts, oatmeal, and maple syrup makes me drool. Home is a place where I can be myself whether I'm feeling emotional and stressed or calm and relaxed or even silly and loose. Home is where my loving family stays safe and protected from freezing rain, scolding sun, blizzards, and terrible storms with loud ear stinging thunder and bright lightning that hurts my eyes. At home I am safe from scary things with my family. Home is a place where my family is always there for me and there is nothing more important than my family. This is what home means to me.
