There’s No Place Like Home

There’s no place like home. For me, a home is a family that I love and they love me back. I have a family I can trust. We enjoy special traditions like meat pie at Christmas, or hosting a Bob Ross paint night in my home with my cousins and grandparents! When I come home from school I am greeted with hot chocolate or a tasty snack. When my family is close to me, doing traditions, that makes my house, home. I have physical safety and emotional safety. I have physical safety, a roof over my head that protects me from the cold and heat and keeps us safe and dry in storms and rain. I have walls to hang my paintings. I have a strong floor that holds my feet up and all the things I love and I feel safe in my home. I can also be emotionally safe because my family is safe and caring when something bad happens. I can express my feelings. If I am happy, I can be happy. If I am sad, I can be sad. If I am depressed, I can be depressed, in my home, and be myself in my home. Home is a place where I can be free to do what I want and be what I want because I am valued for my interests and specialties and I can be free, and I have the advantages of being happy and do not feel embarrassed of anything in my home. My home is a place of freedom. There is no place like home because my family is my home.
