Home isn’t just a word, a structure or four walls and a roof. It’s where I feel safe. It’s the place where I stay cozy and warm as the rain bangs against my roof. It’s the place where I feel like I can be me, with nobody to judge me. It’s the place where I snuggle up on the couch with my family when we watch movies and stuff our mouths with popcorn on a Friday night. It's where my guinea pigs squeak so loud that you can never forget when it’s their dinner time. It’s the place that I think of when I walk home from school on a cold snowy afternoon and fresh hot cocoa that awaits me. It’s where love and joy fill the air with warmth . My home is where I feel loved. My home is the delicious smell of homemade food. My home is where my little sister hugs me. My home is happiness. Everyone deserves a place where they can be themselves, where they feel safe and loved, where they can stay cozy and warm, where they can make memories.
