A Loving Home

Some people think a home is a place where you eat, sleep and stay. But a home is a loving place where you have family, or you were born there. Who knows, maybe you got your home passed on throughout your family. A home is different than a house, a house is a place you are not comfortable with or just moved in. A home is a place where you feel safe, warm and joyful. At home you might smell popcorn popping, you might hear laughing, you might see smiling faces. In a house you may feel unsafe, maybe you’re not happy or you know your neighbor is mean, rude or dangerous. In a home you feel safe, you know your neighbor, they are kind, helpful and understanding. Did you know a home can be a home when someone or something is special in it. It could be a dog, a special plushy or a person. I think the idea of helping others get homes is a great idea because there are many people in need and going through some tough times. Harder than you think. Some people freeze or starve to death. I hope people see this and get inspired and help others out on Habitat for Humanity!
