Home is Your Home
Your home is a place that accepts you for a person you are. It is a place you know will hold you warm and cozy in days when you feel lost and teary eyed. A place that is sacred to you and holds a shelter for your near and dear ones. A home tells a story and expresses a person or family's interests.
To create a home requires an emotional connection and sense of belongings, not physical things. Home has always been a gathering place, shelter, and sanctuary, providing escape from busyness and intrusiveness of the world. Why is home so special?
A good home provides protection. We children are less at risk of violence and sexual abuse. They are less likely to be forced into child labor, married off at a young age or forcibly recruited by armed groups.
Home is your home.
